My Night Peace

I love you lord

I need you so
surrounded by your spirit,
my soul you've caressed.
You send me to sleep

knowing with you I am blessed.
You hold me all night
In your gentle presence I rest.
When I awake

you are still there
keeping me close to you
In the midst of despair.
I still feel you here Lord
In the morning light
My body at peace
You’re my heart's delight.
